I’m All In For Getting A Nut Tuck

the Daily Mail reports-

How George Clooney has inspired cosmetic craze for ‘ball ironing’ – that sees wrinkles removed from you know where…

image

George Clooney has repeatedly joked that instead of his eyes he gets the skin on his testicles ‘ironed’ out, but now it appears he’s inspired a new craze in Hollywood.

Cosmetic expert Nurse Jamie told MailOnline that she added ‘Tighten the Tackle’ to the list of services at her Santa Monica spa, Beauty Park, last year, and it has been a raving success.

Delicately describing the $575 non-surgical treatment, the blonde beautician says it involves using lasers to remove hair, erase wrinkles and correct discoloration on the scrotum.

Listen, I’ll be the first to admit that as I’ve aged, my boys aren’t hanging all high and tight like they used to be.  I’d long thought about getting a little nut tuck to smooth things out “down there” but now that my man George Clooney is endorsing it, I’m ALL IN!

$575 for the non-surgical procedure?  Chump change to freshen up the boys.

Which spa around here offers such services?  We can live blog the procedure.  Maybe do a whole pay-per-view deal.

Thanks George for being brave enough to come forward with your own ball ironing to make it acceptable for men with low hanging nuts everywhere to “tighten their tackle

ROCKY NECK GALLERY’S SUMMER ARTISTS SERIES INTRODUCES NELLA LUSH
image
RIP TIDE
NELLA LUSH
Oil, wax on canvas   36 x 36

Rocky Neck Gallery is pleased to announce the second show of the Summer Artist Series introducing the artist Nella Lush and her exquisitely beautiful seascapes and frescoes.  The show, titled Nella’s Journey, opens Wednesday, June 12 until July 2.  An artist reception will be held on Sunday, June 16th from 4-6 PM.  The public is invited to attend this free event and hear Nella talk about her work and process.

An experimental artist, Nella enjoys working on a variety of subject matter from abstracts to frescos, nature and the sea.  The Cape Ann coastline is her muse where she spends time recording the atmospheric moods of the sea, light and sky.  Back in her studio she interprets these emotions on canvas where the process of painting is, for her, a spiritual journey.  She works mainly with oils using cold wax as a medium often adding marble dust to create more texture and depth.  It is her application and scraping away of numerous layers, again and again, that shape the final painting.

“I connect with things that leave a mystery… that the viewer is digging into the painting and each time they find something different.  I don’t seek perfection: I just seek to be heard and to have the viewer connect emotionally to my work and to bring them to a time and place in their life.”

Nella is represented by the Art Essex Gallery, Essex, CT; the Mystic Seaport Maritime Gallery, Mystic, CT; Lorica Gallery, Andover, MA; and Peter Alpers Art, Andover, MA.  She is a Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists; a member of National Associations of Women Artists in NYC; Rockport Art Association, Rockport, MA; a member and board trustee of North Shore Art Association, Gloucester, MA; President of the Andovers Artists Guild; and associate member of the Oil Painters of America.

Please join us and meet Nella Lush on Sunday, June 16th from 4-6 PM for a reception and artist talk.  Delicious refreshments will be served.

RNG is located on 53 Rocky Neck Avenue, Gloucester.  The hours are: Sunday – Wednesday: 11 AM – 6 PM, Thursday – Saturday: 11 AM – 8 PM.  Free parking is available.  For more information please visit our website http://www.rockyneckgallery.com or call 978-282-0917

Greetings dear Joe,

My name is Tesa and we met a few years ago when I was director of Sustainable Cape Ann (we started the Farmers’ Market).

I moved to Indonesia three years ago, and now live in California but still love to support cool projects back in Cape Ann.  I did two interviews with Robert Newton in 2008 and 2011, which I just cleaned up and posted on my blog with a link to his current Indiegogo Campaign.   If you have time to read them, and feel comfortable mentioning them on your blog, I was hoping it might create some support for Robert’s fundraiser.

Warm regards,

Tess Silvestre

Speaking of awards, another fun recognition for the HarborWalk was for a Golden Shoe Award, for the “City of Gloucester creatively getting Gloucester Walking”, presented 3.20.13. From Steve Winslow, Senior Project Manager Community Development,  “Every year WalkBoston recognizes communities that are making “major strides” to improve conditions for walking which is a wonderful endorsement of the great work around the HarborWalk, city planning, and community development.”

Did You Know? (National Sushi Day)

madfish grille_hungry yet

That June 18th is National Sushi Day?  There is no other place to be on June 18th than Madfish Wharf for their amazing sushi.  But you don’t have to wait until the 18th.  Go to Madfish Grille any time (Tuesday through Sunday) for lunch or dinner of the best sushi you’ve ever had.  Check out Sushi Chef Jordan holding a tray of his amazing surf and turf with steak and lobster.

Sushi not your thing?  I went a couple of nights ago and being a perpetual seeker of the perfect burger, I had to try their’s and I have to say, it was possibly the best burger I’ve ever had.  Perfectly charbroiled and dripping with cheese and carmelized bacon and onions.  And doesn’t that softshell crab sandwich look amazing?

Second Glance, the biggest thrift shop in Gloucester

My first review in my series on second-hand stores in Gloucester is “Second Glance” (2 Pond Rd., Gloucester), the thrift shop of Open Door, a local hunger-relief charity.

sg1

It has a wide selection of items, including clothes, kitchen utensils, books, CD’s, toys (in small quantities, from what I’ve seen), dishes, knickknacks, furniture, etc.  It is well organized, clean, and affordably priced.

The place is often busy, so there is a fairly quick turnover of popular items. It’s worth checking back often – and if you see something you want, get it while you can!

They have ample hours, Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., both for purchasing and for donating.  Proceeds go to support the Open Door hunger relief efforts.  So whether you are looking for a useful item for your home or your wardrobe, or you have items in good condition that you want to pass on to another owner, this is a good place to go!

But just because it’s awesome, doesn’t mean it has everything all the time. The other locations I will be reviewing are well worth checking out too!
