Hey Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about this weekend at The Topside! Saturday is the Kentucky Derby which means our annual Kentucky Derby party! Every year, it continues to get bigger and bigger. Come join us for prizes, give aways, pools, contests, and more! Come dressed up in your Kentucky Derby outfit an win the best dressed contest!!! Mint Juleps and Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwiches will be on special! The fun starts at 3:00 this Saturday!!
Sunday is Mother’s Day, take mom out for a day to remember and let us take care of everything else! We will be serving Brunch from 11-3 and also Mothers Day Lunch specials all day long (Roast Leg of Lamb, Honey Baked Virginia Ham, Stuffed Turkey Dinner, swordfish, steaks, and more!) seating is still available, but going fast, reserve now…

Hey Joey,

We are finally out of the dreaded winter and spring is here!!!!  The shop is opening Friday, May 6, 10am-7pm.  I’ll be open weekends until Memorial Day and then I’ll be there 6 days a week.  Also I’m on the agenda Tuesday, May 10 for the city’s licensing board to seek approval for live entertainment on Saturday May 28.  I would love all the support I can get to be there.  I’m super excited to hear that you have secured a place on Rocky Neck this summer, it will be fabulous having you here!!  Stop and see me soon and have a hotdog!!

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for “fifth of May”) is a holiday held on May 5. It is celebrated nationwide in the United States and regionally in Mexico, primarily in the state of Puebla. The date is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride, and to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War. In the state of Puebla, the date is observed to commemorate the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza SeguĂ­n.  Cinco de Mayo is NOT Mexico’s Independence Day, the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico, which occurs on September 16th. Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that is virtually ignored in Mexico.

What I know of this picture is again the slide is in backwards because when you click on it to view it full size you see the numbers on the white boat are backward.  I believe it says
