GLOUCESTER STAGE’S 2010 season kicks off with Table Manners, a heartbreakingly hilarious reunion of adult siblings and their spouses and the first play of Alan Ayckbourn’s infamous The Norman Conquests trilogy, June 17 through July 3. The production features the return of Academy Award nominee and Gloucester resident Lindsay Crouse to Gloucester Stage as she joins an all star cast of Boston actors. 978-281-4433

ST. PETER’S FIESTA is a five day festival honoring the patron saint of the fisherman St. Peter. The festival is put on by the Italian American community of Gloucester. Viva St. Pietro!

Please join us as we welcome back Eoin Vincent to THE ROCKPORT ART ASSOCIATION, to give his "Eyes of Tanzania" lecture Part II on Wednesday, June 23, 7pm. ROCKPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY presents a panel discussion, featuring nonfiction writers, on Wednesday, June 23, at 7pm. "Memoir: From the Personal to the Universal" explores the relationship between author and reader, between personal anecdote and broader understandings. 978-546-6934

CAPE ANN MUSEUM is pleased to present New England’s Vernacular Architecture and the Atlantic World, presented by J. Ritchie Garrison, Director of Winterthur Program in Early American Material Culture at the University of Delaware, on Thursday, June 24 at 7pm. $10/Museum members, $15/non-members. THE CAPE ANN FARMERS’ MARKET will open the 2010 season on Thursday, June 24, 3-6:30pm at its new location– I-4/C-2 on Rogers Street. The market will be open from every Thursday from June 24 to October 7.

To celebrate Gloucester’s annual St. Peter’s Fiesta, THE CAPE ANN COMMUNITY CINEMA, located at 21 Main Street in downtown Gloucester, will present a trio of popular Italian films – one classic and two recent hits plus a free fishing film – to kick off the 5-day downtown celebration throughout the second half of June. Kick off Fiesta with a Sunset Music Sail on the SCHOONER THOMAS E. LANNON on Friday, June 25, 6-8pm. Local musicians perform acoustic bluegrass, Celtic, folk music, etc. as the Schooner sails around Gloucester harbor. Tickets are $47.50/adults, $42.50/seniors, and $35/children. NEW ENGLAND PIRATE FAIRE. June 26-27, 10am-5pm, Stage Fort Park, Gloucester. Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for senior citizens, students, and military personnel (positive ID required!); and $8 for children age 12 and under. Rain or shine. Saturday, June 26 is Gloucester Day. Gloucester residents who show proof of residency at the gate (driver’s license, MA state ID, or other form of picture ID showing a Gloucester address) will receive $4 off an adult admission. THE CAPE ANN AMATEUR RADIO ASSOCIATION will host a free outdoor demonstration of amateur radio on Saturday, June 26, starting at 2pm, and runs 24 hours straight until Sunday, June 27, at the James Babson Cooperage Museum Field. This is a fun and educational outdoor event where we show we show yesterdays technologies such as morse code but we also show how we use today’s computer technology to transmit digitally to amateur radio operators around the world as well as on satellites.

We are pleased to announce the 2010 PAINTING-BY-THE-SEA, PLEIN AIR CONTEST AND EXHIBITION. Artists from around New England will be exhibiting recent Cape Ann paintings July 1-31 at the Manchester-by-the-Sea Historical Society’s Trask House. Monday-Friday, 9am-12noon. THE CAPE ANN MUSEUM invites families to a theatrical performance at the White-Ellery House on Saturday, July 3, at 11am. Beauport Anthology is a collection of dramatic monologues of historical characters from Gloucester, 1600 – 1900. There will also be an arts activity for children and families provided by Cape Ann Art Haven. These programs are free and open to the public. 978-283-0455

Enjoy Gloucester’s fireworks from terrace and lawn of BEAUPORT, SLEEPER-MCCANN HOUSE on Saturday, July 3, 7-10pm. Bring blankets, chairs, picnics, and mosquito spray. Candles are prohibited. ROCKPORT LEGION BAND CONCERT SERIES. Sunday, July 4, at 7pm at the bandstand overlooking Rockport’s Back Beach. Concerts will be held every Sunday evening through August 30; listeners are invited to bring their own chairs or blankets to this family-friendly program.

Runners of all ages and abilities can now register as individuals or teams for the 7TH ANNUAL SEACOAST SEVEN ROAD RACE, a 7-mile run to directly benefit the residents of Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
