Enjoying Cape Cod

Continuing my vacation… Visiting a friend on Cape Cod!

Lovely beach!

The prettiest house on this beach, in my opinion, is this one:

There’s nothing like the feeling of the waves tickling your toes!

A perfect beach day!

Cape Cod is a lovely place to visit! But I’m still glad I live on “the other cape”…  When I get back to Gloucester I am going to have to do a beach walk and get some nice photos!

  1. Was proudly born at Hyannis Cape Cod Hospital 57 years ago this month… and raised there on school breaks and summer vacations…. with my beloved grandparents in Oyster Harbors. SO very lovely there. Craigville Beach, Hyannisport, downtown Osterville, Centerville…. love it all. Make sure you try and visit the fun Centerville Country Store 🙂

        1. I might! Especially the ice cream… Centerville is about half an hour away from where I am staying, so it depends on how my plans develop. I’m mostly just hanging out at a cottage with a friend, and going for walks.

        2. You’ll love Four Seas… we’d have that in the ’60’s as kids back then. just so much fun. My uncles favorite at the time was their Peppermint Stick flavor…. And the Country Store in Centerville is a MUST see! Bet they still have the wooden floors and lovely old candle scents to it.. Probably not penny candy anymore but hope you’ll try some. I remember the candy counter was right by the front door…. the other fun part I remember was seeing the enclosed glass fun bee hive in the center of the store… lol. So many fond memories of the Cape for me.
Another fun place is to see the Wianno Yacht Club and their gorgeous boats docked there.
Have a fun rest of vacation .
