Anyone know where this is?

Glad I was not in that mess

  1. That would be eastbound on the Mass Pike. The MBTA train is just even with the back doors to the House of Blues which has its front doors on Lansdowne Street. So if David Ortiz actually could jack the ball out of the park just left of center the ball would be bouncing across the highway right behind that bus. Supposedly a ball Rice hit actually did that but it bounced off the roof of a car in the parking lot behind Cask and Flagon then bounced a second time right on a track rail and made it to the Pike.

  2. Not to be too maudlin, I’ll throw in another story about that piece of highway. The reason I know it like the back of my hand is because it is my daily commute. I then go under the Prudential building in from the right lane then take the next exit up on to Huntington Ave past the art museum. Eleven years ago and a day I was in that right hand lane in a 99 4Runner and people started slowing down. It was as if they were hesitant to go under the Prudential. And I knew why. The shock Jock Howard Stern (syndicated on WBCN 104.1) had just told us on the radio that the second tower had been hit and it was not a small private plane which is what they were reporting about the first tower.

  3. I guess I’m late with the answer but yes it’s the bridge over the pike near Fenway Park. Here’s a similar shot I took years ago when the Sox weren’t in the cellar.

  4. When I’m ridin’ that train and readin’ my paper I get a nice feelin’. I shows ’em my Charlie card and gets a senior discount to boot. The best part — don’t have to empty my wallet to park.
