Poll- Is The Perfume That Abercrombie Pumps Out In Front Of Their Stores Obnoxious or Am I Just An Old crank Who Doesnt Get It?

I literally gag when I walk by Abercrombie at The North Shore Shopping center and inhale that perfume they pump out into the mall.  Does it bother you or do you like it?

I’m trying to gauge if it’s just me or if other people feel the same way.  I literally hold my breath after that first gulp of air.

  1. I went in for the first time the other day. couldn’t see anything, it was so dark, hear, it was so loud with music blasting, the smell was more intense IN the store than outside the store, and they have these trees all over the place that whack you in the face when you are trying to maneuver around people. No to mention, there is no way I would fit into their size 8, really a size 4 clothing. Not a fan.

  2. I think its a brilliant marketing tool. As a parent, you cant see how much you are paying for the crap and are so gassed on the perfume, you are literally throwing money at them and running for the door. Genius!

  3. You touched a nerve here. I despise Abercrombie & Fitch. This pains me, as the company is based in my usually inoffensive home state of Ohio. But Abercrombie & Fitch is an evil company. Can corporations be evil? Well, yes. If a corporation can be deemed a person by the Supreme Court of the United States, then it follows that a corporation can be considered evil. At least according to my logic, which is all I need to operate (!). The kind of youth culture promoted and glorified by Abercrombie & Fitch and their “magalogs” (have you ever seen one of those things?) is no doubt responsible for the increase of STDs and unplanned pregnancies among dopey white middle class people. The perfume pouring out of the doorway is just a symptom of the cesspool that is Abercrombie & Fitch. Other than that I love the place.

  4. ‘Right on’, to all of the above comments. The perfume is obnoxious, as is the entire store & its concept. Being an individual has no place in their sales philosophy. Being mindless sheep does.
