By now you have all heard of the party on Friday at Cape Ann Giclee but did you know that there will be four and only four Rubber Duck signed photographs that were shot during the original meeting of Homie and the Rubber Duck? Â Four people will be lucky enough to walk out with a piece of history!
And there will be other artist’s stuff and beer and Rubber Duck.
This is the first moment when Homie’s eye (just his left one) locked onto Rubber Duck.

These are some shots taken by Charlie Carroll at the Seacoast Nursing Home reception yesterday. Â This is a wonderful exhibit of 30 canvas giclee photos of local scenes donated by a number of Cape Ann photographers, and printed by Cape Ann Giclee, to be hung permanently in the Alzheimer’s Wing at Seacoast Nursing Home. Â Many of the residents and visitors came to the opening and really enjoyed the work.
For me, the highlight of the event was meeting Agnus MacQuade, 99 years young, who will turn 100 in January 2015. Â She was amazingly sharp and a pleasure to talk to. Â She was a student teacher at Lane School for a number of years and then taught at Salem State. Â She said she loves being at Seacoast Nursing Home.

Our next Cape Ann Painter and Photographer Group will meet on Friday, May 2, Â from 9-10:30 AM at Cape Ann Giclee on 20 Maplewood Avenue in Gloucester. Parking is on the far right of Shaw’s Market.
James Eves , who owns Cape Ann Giclee with his wife Anna, will demonstrate Studio Photography and Lighting. It should be a very interesting program.
Thank you James and Anna for this upcoming program and for offering your space for our meetings!
We will also be discussing ideas for future programs and social events.
The group was founded almost three years ago with the aim to give Cape Ann Artists and Photographers an opportunity to meet each other, offer support, share ideas and ongoing work, and have a good time.
Hope to see you there. All are welcome.

Cape Ann Giclee’s James Eves is creating photos from Felicia’s childhood memories for her forthcoming cookbook. Using a current photo of an updated house, the ultra-talented James has removed the contemporary fencing and younger trees and instead, he has replaced with the previous owner’s original lovely shrub hedge, flower plantings, and cheery shutters.
Whatever your heart desires–photo retouching, photo recreating, fine art photo printing, and painting reproduction needs–James Eves is THE MAN!
