QUICK, EASY AND VERY PORTABLE WATERCOLOR SET UP
I have a few different setups. One for Oil paint one for Acrylics and one for Watercolor.
So here is my Watercolor set up. It’s so easy to carry around. Other than the box all you need is a napkin or two. Island Art and Hobby down on Main st. carry a similar setup ask for the special water brush. Contact Frontiero@hotmail.com with your photos and info if you use this type of painting kit and i’ll post it and give you a free plug here on this Rag. ![]()
OK Here’s my Car set up. It’s a Sakura 24 color watercolor box that you can put a 4″x6″ postcard size watercolor paper in it and still have a lot of palette space to mix colors. you can see and or buy my small paintings at the EJ KAHN/GoodMorningGloucester Gallery down at the Madfish Galleries on Rocky Neck this year. Maybe. HAVE FUN!

Sweet little palette box but for me two complaints. I know that the handle on your brush holds water but the brush itself holds a miniscule amount of paint. I prefer a nice #6 Kolinsky (Cheap Joes Signature series really are cheap but very good quality)that carries plenty of paint/water for 4×6 paintings and will give you a fine enough point for detail work. I also only paint with professional quality paints that don’t fade out and give better mixing and stronger color. I like W&N, Lukas, Stephen Quiller, and Daniel Smith. I usually use 4×6 blocks of 140lb to paint on.

I recognized your art work while scrolling down, before I even saw your name. I had the same reaction to one of E.J.’s last week. Isn’t it interesting how we know the artists, just by the essence and style of their paintings? Everyone developes their own individuality and it shines right through.
An artist paints a sky, a beach, often a familiar scene….yet, one knows immediately, who did it! I find that fascinating.
