I was getting a breath of fresh air out on the sidewalk just now, chatting with Max, the Bar Manager of Jalapeños Mexican Restaurant next door. I suggested they have a "Greasy Pole" cocktail special for Saint Peter’s Fiesta. "Great idea," he said, "we could use the local Folly Cove Rum and grapefruit juice in it!" Sista Felicia– the deadline is any time before the Greasy Pole competition ends. I just now stepped outside and asked Max what Jalapeños current Greasy Pole cocktail is. He went inside and brought me a medium gray delicious drink. Almost perfect. I suggested an appropriate swizzle/straw accent to finish the drink, and Alex suggested an Italian flag attached to the straw. Got a great recipe from Jullian Scola, which I handed over to Max, the bar master. If you like the Greasy Pole – drink this! BTW, I will buy a Greasy Pole cocktail for the winner. Good luck!
