This is an old postcard sent by Sylvia DeBoever (you remember Sylvia, Sarah Lawrence’s niece from the 66 year letter post) to Fred Bodin. Fred sent it to me so you could all enjoy it. Thanks Sylvia. Hope your knee surgery went well.

That’s neat, EJ. Thanks for posting it. What inspiration! I recently saw a painting of a map of Key Largo and said to myself I’ve got to paint a map of Cape Ann. I imagined one similar to that one. But right now I’ve got two unfinished surf fishing paintings waiting for my attention so, maybe next week.

Great idea Bill, a painting of a map of Cape Ann. Having lived in Key Largo for 4 years, I can say we certainly have way more beautiful and cool stuff to include on a map here than there. It would actually be quite a challenge to include even the highlights without it having to be a huge painting. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Soon as I finish the two I’ve got underway, I’m going to start on the map of Cape Ann and I’ll send you a picture of it when done.

I would love to be able to explore Cape Ann on horseback – that must have been great. Welcome back!
