Here’s a 35mm shot of the original Motif #1 back in the 70’s.
You can see it was a patched-up rugged old building.
Also, thanks Joey for including the information of the Digital Photo Workshop at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum,

I wish it still looked like that. But I guess there’s a reason the storm blew it down, patched boards and all. By the way, this image comes just in time for Motif No. 1 Day on May 21st – celebrating both the old Motif and its pristine replacement!

I love this picture, such natural wear and tear. And the reflection of the folks in the windows is great.
