I did not know it was called “Central Wharf” though.
Perhaps that should be the name returned to it now that it is no longer urban renewal lots.

They said the building that was torn down for urban renewal was one of the most difficult buildings to dismantle. I’m pretty sure it was on the lot where I4C2 is

It just came to me I worked for Davis Brothers and we did mackerel not salt fish. We canned the mackerel, you can salt it,
But the difference being Frank Davis and Davis Brothers, one salt cod the other canned mackerel.

Frank E. Davis Fish Co., was at 8 Central Wharf in Gloucester from 1910 t0 1958. I have Davis’ Sea Food Recipes book with order form from 1914.
