Family owned and operated—for many generations, the Marshall family has farmed the land on the North Shore of Boston.
Current COVID-19 Information
WE ARE OPEN! We decided to open the farm stand early this year to give our customers an option other than shopping at a large supermarket. At this time, we will have a limited inventory. Our main concern is the health and safety of our customers and our staff! Therefore, we will be offering curbside pickup exclusively for farm stand products.
Although we are not allowing our customers into the farm stand during this time, our greenhouses are open to customers. We are following CDC and Gloucester Board of Health guidelines. All employees and customers must wear an appropriate face mask covering their nose and mouth and social distancing is required. To help with social distancing, we are marking aisles as one way in the greenhouses and in the plant display areas. We are also offering curbside pickup for plants.

Spring flowers, and especially tulips, are my very favorites and I look forward to seeing them burst forth each year. As you already know, the boulevard display beats any nearby so-called “tulip festival” but this is what it looks like just before we get to enjoy the beauty. It’s so nice to see green popping out everywhere. These were taken maybe a week ago so progress has certainly been made since then. Even the pansies seem to join the tulips and the Fisherman’s Wife watching the skyline for returning boats.
We look forward to see what pithy advice Howard’s Flying Dragon Antiques will have for us. This advice was displayed even before masks became required in certain circumstances. Thanks, Howard’s!
As an FYI we took Donna Ardizzoni’s advice and contacted Sue Wheeler of Arts Abound in Magnolia to purchase some additional masks. You may want to do the same! $15 each. Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/artsaboundmagnolia/

Spring is springing and so are allergies!
Nobody wants to hear this, but diet definitely does make a difference when you’re suffering from allergies.
Most people suffer from Kapha type (phlegm) of allergy symptoms – sinus congestion, sneezing, lung congestion, watery eyes, fatigue, lethargy, mental fogginess. So it’s important during allergy season, and even for several weeks prior, to start a Kapha reducing diet. This means cutting out or drastically reducing dairy products, wheat, fried foods, and cold or iced drinks. During this time you want to add warming spices like ginger, drying grains like rye and barley, and lots of fresh vegetables including leafy greens.
Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC is available to help you through the spring allergy season just message us to book your virtual appointment.

‘I Just Need the Comfort’: Processed Foods Make a Pandemic Comeback
Shoppers, moved by nostalgia and hunting for longer shelf lives, are returning to old standbys like Chef Boyardee and Campbell’s soup.
By Julie Creswell
So proud to live in Massachusetts, a state where the lives of threatened and endangered shorebirds that nest along our coastline, birds such as Least Terns, Piping Plovers, and American Oyster Catchers, are considered worth protecting.
Despite all that the state government is trying to manage with the pandemic at its very peak, a huge shout out to Governor Baker and his administration for continuing the fight to help protect Piping Plovers. The Governor’s list of essential workers includes natural resource workers and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation has placed symbolic roping and threatened species signs on DCR beaches. For over forty years, people have been working to rebuild the Piping Plover population and it will only add to the coronavirus tragedy if we cease protecting threatened and endangered wildlife.
The PiPls are having a tough time of it this spring, largely because so much of their overwintering habitat was ravished during last year’s Hurricane Dorian. Let’s all work together to share the shore with wildlife and to protect our own Good Harbor Beach Piping Plover family!

This gentleman who makes these great pieces of art is a very nice man. He uses all recycled metal. Everything from horse shoes to blades of old lawn mowers.
