I’ve had roast beef sandwiches late night since back in my days at Bishop Fenwick in 83. Had em all over the place.
Listen to me right now- Kelly’s Roast Beef isn’t even in the same stratosphere as Nick’s Roast Beef. I could rattle off two or three other roast beef joints that decimate Kelly’s Roast Beef in the roast beef game. 9 times out of 10 Kelly’s comes with gray dried out meat. Nothing like the succulent rare beef you’re gonna get at Nicks.
Supreme’s, Rockport House easily better than Kelly’s. Not to mention you go to Kelly’s and their prices are freakin outrageous.
I’ll give Kelly’s props all day long for the video though. Outstanding.
A rap video don’t make the beef taste better though bro.

I was forced to go to Kelly’s for lunch with a work associate. I nearly gagged on the roast beef, couldn’t even finish it. No one enjoyed it.
Nicks is THE BEST!!! Period. Hands down. End of discussion!

Kelly’s is not where we go for roast beef. We go for chowder and for their absolutely amazing, stunningly fresh salad. You have to try it. I respect several Gloucester salads, but Kelly’s salad is so fresh that I can’t even replicate it myself — no grocery that I know of sells produce that fresh.

Completely agree. The last Kelly’s roast beef sandwich I had was WELL DONE and dry, I ate half and tossed out the remainder. They are consistently mediocre at best. NICK’S RULES, was just there last weekend!

Beverly’s Nick’s has it all…………and for the best local pizza check out Little Italy Pizzeria on Cabot St! Sweet sauce……great taste………huge slice!
