Are you fucking kidding me with this????
TSA to Allow Pocket Knives On Planes
Take off your shoes, belts, jackets, laptops, iPads, packs of gum, but don’t worry bro, you’re all good on the knives.
I can’t even begin to imagine how stewardesses feel about this. Who was the politician that even brought this up or lobbied to get this bill voted on? Guy needs to be fired, like yesterday.
It never ceases to amaze me what stuff these politicians go out their way to lobby for when there are so many more important problems to deal with. Want to do something for the people? Force airlines that change your flights after you book a direct flight into a flight that has stops to not charge you a change fee of $75 and the cost of a higher ticket.
Look out for passenger rights in that way instead of letting airlines lure you in with a great direct flight at a reasonable air fare and once you book it swap you off into a flight with a stopover.
What an idiotic thing to go out of your way to change a law for. To actually allow knives on planes after you increase spending for airport security to make planes safer.
The TSA’s budget has increased from $4.7 billion in 2002 to $7.8 billion in 2011.
Poor stewardesses.

It is one of the stupidest ever, can not bring more than a couple of ounces of hair conditioner on board but can bring a knife.. dumb dumb and dumber

I agree! Knives are nothing to mess with – a sharp blade, even only two inches long can do a lot of damage to someone, as can a golf club – go figure…

Dumbest! If box-cutters worked on 9/11, WHY allow ANY kind of knife?!
I cannot believe the stupidity of this …. & yet, most unfortunately, I can. It’s a sad statement on so much of what we see happening.

And by the way, re the above: It is not a political statement nor specific political-leaning that influences my comment. It is just ‘big business’ at work, once again; while the rest of us — no matter what we feel or say or want — be damned. Does anybody care, anymore? Seems ‘not so much’.

sooooo…TSA took Granny’s knitting needles because they “could be used in a dangerous manner” but she can take a knife onboard? Ummmmm…is it me or is this crazy?

I think the TSA thing needs to be revamped. The knife issue is ridiculous. They shouldn’t be allowed on planes. And a passenger “bill of rights” ? Where is that?
Oh – I the cabin crew are called flight attendants these days. 😉
