We’re eating our way around Cape Ann, and with so many terrific restaurants, we’re getting full…but not too full for a quick, great lunch including the Big BLT at Willow Rest! What a wonderful world!

The Willow Rest is a little gem! I had a wonderful salad today with curried chicken. The balsamic dressing is special. Good coffee, too!

Oh, yes…I have had that BLT from Willow Rest and let me tell you it is HEAVEN! Any sandwich of on that grilled ciabatta bread is crazy good there…and love their burgers! Also love their Annisquam sandwich with brie and turkey. I also get great cheese there (d’Aphinois is a must), fresh oj, organic veggies, local fresh eggs, grass fed beef, some yummy ice cream made in JP (can’t remember the name – you must try the salted caramel) and, of course, the one thing no weekend would be complete without…their pancakes. Nuff said. Oh, and good coffee. 🙂

The breakfasts are delicious, the produce fresh, the baked goods to die for and the merchandise on hand is diverse and interesting. Love Willow Rest. One of Gloucester’s treasures.
