Here is a little fun fact about Joey C. We all know that he is a such a private man and never shares his life on the internet. Here is just a glimpse of him behind closed doors. What would you think his favorite soft drink is?
Coke or Pepsi? TAB? I bet your first guess wouldn’t be Fresca. When you sit down at his house it is all that is offered and he will go into how it is so refreshing, yet has zero calories. He will ask you again and again “Sure you don’t want a fresca?” He also “suggests” (AKA if he doesn’t get it he throws a fit) that the places he visits for shoots stock plenty of it on his arrival. Just a fun fact from the fact finders at GMG.

Dude! How you gonna go knockin Fresca?
It is delightfully refreshing and not sickie sweet like other sodas.
Embrace the Fresca- you’ll be glad you did!

Weird. I did not know this. About two years ago, just about the time I bought a house on Cape Ann I started drinking Fresca. I never order it in a restaurant but I like to have Fresca at home.
Must be in the air.
It is a tasty beverage.

Loved Fresca until I realized it contains real grapefruit juice – those of us who are on “statins” can’t have any type of grapefruit.

Joey, You totally spurred a craving! My husband is picking me up a Fresca right now. He didn’t believe they made them anymore. I hope he comes back with one!

Fresca Ingredients:
carbonated water, citric acid, concentrated grapefruit juice, potassium citrate, potassium benzoate and EDTA (preservatives), aspartame, acesulfame potassium, acacia, natural flavors, glycerol ester of wood rosin, brominated vegetable oil, carob bean gum
acesulfame potassium!? ESTER OF WOOD ROSIN!? Brominated vegatable oil!? WTF!
This gotta be the most unhealthy drink.
“Acesulfame potassium (or acesulfame K) was approved for use by the FDA as a safe artificial sweetener in July 1988. it is a derivative of acetoacetic acid. Unfortunately, several potential problems associated with the use of acesulfame have been raised. They are based largely on animal studies since testing on humans remains limited.
* It stimulates insulin secretion in a dose-dependent fashion, thereby possibly aggravating reactive hypoglycemia (“low blood sugar attacks”)
* It apparently produced lung tumors, breast tumors, rare types of tumors in the organs (such as the thymus gland), several forms of leukemia, and chronic respiratory disease in several rodent studies, even when less-than-maximum doses were given. Accordingly, the Center for Science in the Public Interest formally petitioned on August 29, l988 for a stay of approval by the FDA on August 29, l988 because of “significant doubt” about the safety of acesulfame potassium.”

And what’s wrong with Moxie? Although I don’t find it as satisfying since they changed the sweetener used in it a while back.
