Dean Salah Writes In- Georges By Night Seats Still Available

image

Hey all, just wanted to throw this out, the Georges By Night event coming up next Sat, the 31st of July
is still not sold out, for those of you familiar with these nights you know they usually sell out in a matter of
days, but for some reason this date is still available. The meal is as always a full course offering, this one featuring hawaiin chicken. The entertainer is a true professional having toured with some greats such as the James Cotton Band, the Zaitchik Brothers Band, Muddy Waters and Charlie Daniels. His name is Michael Zaitchik and although his name may not be
familiar to you, he is a real talented musician. We are fortunate to be able to host him and I hope we can get the place
sold out. If you know of anyone looking for a different night out, that might be interested, or if you want to reserve a table
get into Georges and reserve your place.
                                      Thanks for your help,  Dean

**BREAKING NEWS** well, not really

While I was at the State Fish Pier.Ā Ā enjoying a home brewed cup of Coffee and reading my new Book

“The Yellow House: Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Nine Turbulent Weeks in Provence”(I may be as F’D Up as he was) this morning. I looked up and spotted a fast moving object heading my way. Man, those Seagulls can fly when they get a Tail Wind! Then out of the corner of my eye I spotted a very slow, sluggish and weighted down surface vessel.Ā  Oh, it was Paul Morrison in his new Surge Kayak hugging the State Fish Pier. what a Beautiful colored (not Paul’s beat red face) Kayak, Light blue top with white hull. Very Sleek! (again, not Paul Morrison).

After Tossing Paul a couple ofĀ Ā Lattof FarmsĀ Monkey Breads from Rockport, Ma.

He headed off into the Sunset, I mean Sunrise.

But, Really. He was moving pretty Fast. That new Boat will do him good in next years Blackburn Challenge. He has a little work to do getting out of the thing. But I promised not to say anything about that. If I had some Manbags I’d be out there with him on Sunday Mornings.

Here are a few Photos of Paul and his Kayak from today;

Paul Skirting the Coastline and pissing off the Pier Anglers as he slices through their lines.
Paul booking it past the idled Gloucester Fishing fleet
and the Sugar Babe
Paul Morrison eyeing next years Challenge!

Sean GivesĀ BackĀ ToĀ HisĀ GayĀ Fans

Last summer Sean aboard the Degelyse did a swan dive off the roof here at the dock in his jock strap.

What some people probably don’t realize is that the photos you see here are actually hosted on a picture hosting site called Flickr.Ā  On Flickr you can do searches for just about anything and up pop results in the form of pictures.

So evidently many gay guysĀ  do searches for jockstrapped men and up pop photos of our boy Sean.Ā  The reason I know this is because I receive email alerts when someone marks one of my photos on Flickr as a favorite.Ā Ā  Every other day or so Sean’s jockstrap photos get favorited by someone and I get an email alert.Ā  He has developed sort of a cult following in the gay world which he is very proud of.

Here he is in this video with a promise for all of his fans-

Something for everyone here at GMG!

Enjoy boys!

Chickity Check It! All Things New England Interview With Linda Greenlaw

Linda Greenlaw: Cowboy of the Sea

Linda Greenlaw

I shut the book and stared at the photos on the cover for a long while. Seaworthy by Linda Greenlaw. What was it about this woman’s face that penetrated through pulp and fiber like sunshine breaking through clouds? Something in the eyes maybe? Vibrant…Focused…Alive! Or perhaps it was the fully engaged smile. Persuasively charming, yet almost impish. Whatever it was, I’d just been consumed like bait on a hook by the ocean of fish that defines her world. And as only a great fisherman could do, she reeled me in with her stories of willingness, determination,  perseverance, and self discovery in good ā€˜ol fisherman fashion.
Standing 5’3" and 48 years old, there’s no doubt about it…Linda Greenlaw has guts and vitality. For nearly 30 years she has been a fierce competitor in one of the most dangerous professions in America: commercial fishing. She has earned the respect of her peers, is one of the few female captains in the U.S. and is, in fact, the only female swordfish captain in the States to date

Good Morning Gloucester Sunrise Kayak: Sunday 5:30 AM Pavilion Beach

I’m trying to cover some of the shoreline I missed on the Blackburn Challenge circumnavigation. This morning I did Gloucester Inner Harbor. Tomorrow on Sunday it is over to the Paint Factory up behind Ten Pound Island, over to Niles Beach and maybe out to the Eastern Point Lighthouse before heading back.

Sunday 5:30 AM Pavilion Beach put in. Meet me there with a kayak and we will head out into the sunrise.
Essentials: PFD onboard, water. Non-essentials: a doughnut for the tour director.

If we get two other kayaks or more we might even schedule this for next Saturday with another put in.

Things To Do- Willowdale Meadow Walk Sunday July 25th

Hi Joey,
Jill Buchanan from Essex County Greenbelt here. First, I love what you are
doing with Good Mornign Gloucester- it’s the essence of building community
and communication for this special place.
And in that spirit, I’m wondering if you would be willing to somehow
communicate to your followers about a really cool event that is coming up this weekend- not happening in gloucester, but still a fun thing
for cape anners to do.
It promises to be excellent with really great trip leaders.
Thanks so much.

Bill Rothchild Wants To Rent A Sailboat Question

GMG9

Joey:
This year the Washington DC portion of my family is joining us on our annual pilgrimage to Gloucester, which has not happened since hurricane Bib struck. They have become huge GMG fans.
Do you know of anyone renting sailboats, small ones, for day sailing?  I found only one, Cape Ann Sailing school, and the phone number on the site is wrong.
You probably have bigger fish to fry (or lobstahs to boil), but if you have any leads, please pass them along.
