Darth Maul Lobster Landed At Captain Joe and Sons
Posted on May 19, 2013 by Joey C
We’ve had some crazy mutated lobsters landed at our dock over the years including albino, blue, marbled, calico but none that were separated at birth from Star Wars character- Darth Maul.
Separated At Birth? You decide.
Some previous mutant lobster landed at our dock-
Click below for the slideshow of all the mutant lobsters landed here at our dock.
We have more documented mutated lobsters here than any other dock on the planet!

New Format for Cape Ann TV Annual Meeting
Paul Jermain, Cape Ann TV board president writes,
“Thanks for accepting our invitation to participate in the CATV annual meeting next week.
You know, historically, CATV annual meetings, like most other of that ilk, have been a tad boring. Yes, the business got done, but holy smokes, it could be dull.
That’s why I’m so excited about the new format we’re going to try out next week, and your participation in it.
In contrast to an endless chain of drawn out speeches, this event is going to revolve around you and some select other producers. Now, I have to share a little bit about the Station in review of last year’s highlights. But, really, the core of the evening is going to be you and the others sharing a bit about your programs- how and why you got started; what you learned; and some interesting moments and clips. As a producer myself, I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to share. And you’ll probably enjoy listening to the other folks as well.
What: CATV Annual Meeting
Where: CATV Studio, 38 Blackburn Center
When: Tuesday, May 28th, 7-8pm
Why: Celebrate the achievements of the station and the producers over the past year.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again and working together to deliver an evening that people will really enjoy and appreciate.”
Thanks Paul for writing. I met Allen Estes at the station yesterday and he is looking forward to participating as well. Best wishes for the new format!

Back by fopular demand! It’s Lisa Marie! Yeah, she’s been gone awhile but returns to our stage this Thursday with a really hot band and all your favorite musical chestnuts roasting on her open fire! She’ll be getting’ down with the likes of Mr. Bob Enik, on catarrh, Mr.Jim Gambino. on keys, and Mr. Jeff Casper, the friendly drummer. Truly on of my faves, and yours, too. I say bring it on! It’s still winter hours: 8 to 11.

Assault Prevention Seminar for Women and Teen Girls
Hi Joey,
The Gloucester Karate Academy is having a seminar on Friday that will teach women and teen girls the basics of NOT becoming a victim. Considering that 1 in 4 college age women report being victims of rape or attempted sexual assault, attending this course is a no-brainer, especially for younger women. The cost is $10, and all of the proceeds will be donated to HAWC. For more information check out this link: http://northshorekid.com/event/assault-prevention-seminar-women-and-girls
Contact the dojo at 978.282.0629 to register.
Thanks,
~Bill O’Connor

Time to Move On
Origami class at The Hive tonight!
As previously announced, I will be teaching an origami class at the Hive tonight. I can tailor the content to the interests and needs of those present. We can do some nautically themed origami, including a variety of boats, and maybe a sea serpent (as in the photo above).
Or, have you bought an origami book or kit for yourself or a family member, only to have it get dusty on the shelf because no one can figure it out? You are not alone! Bring it to the class, and I can teach the group how to read the diagrams and fold some models from the book! It doesn’t matter how simple or complex the model is – I can help you understand what’s going on. Sometimes, the problem is that the diagrams are poorly done, or just plain wrong. I can help you over those obstacles!
As a final option, if there’s something you’d like to learn how to make, sign up for the course and let me know what you want to learn (and what your skill level is), by commenting on this post or by some other means. I will do my best to find something to suit your interest! I have over 100 origami publications in my personal library, and can also find a variety of instructions on the internet.
I hope to see you there!
Coastal Dog Apparel Shoots On Wingaersheek
Coastal Dog Apparel makes anti-chafing swim suits for boys and men. Coastal Dog suits are 100% made in the USA, and all profits from sales of the suits go to help children in need.
The idea for the anti chafing suit came after a summer spent at Wingaersheek beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Stephanie and her family had to cut beach days short due to chafing and skin abrasions her son ended up with due to surf and sand. The skin irritation was constant and made long days at the beach all but impossible.
Stephanie tried several solutions, cutting out the mesh of new suits, her son wore briefs under a suit, creams andgels for the chafed skin after the fact. Finally, she decided to solve the problem and stop chafing before it started. The Coastal Dog swim suit was born. ![]()
Stephanie, designed the suit, sourced the materials, and found local fabricators, as making the suit in the USA was important to her.
Coastal Dog suits are available online at:
www.coastaldogapparel.com
And, in select stores.
Stephanie Magee, Founder and CEO of Coastal Dog, worked as a Preschool teacher as well as a Director of preschools which is where her start up and entrepreneurial skills formed. Much of her time was spent creating a school from the ground up and helping prospective parents share in the vision of the school to be.
One of Stephanie’s greatest passions is helping others and lending a hand to those in need. Coastal Dog is Stephanie’s way of helping families and children enjoy their time a the beach while also creating company which gives back to children’s charities.

Gloucester High Schol Lemonade Challenge
Dear Joey,
The Gloucester High School business departmet s doing a "lemonade challenge" based off a challenge from the first season of The Appretice. Each class picks a charty to donate all their profits to. My class, team name is G-Town’s Finest, is trying to raise over $1000 for Autism Speaks.I was wondering if you could post on the Good Morning Gloucester blog asking if any company or person was wlling to donate to the cause. If a company is willing to donate they could contact me at my email below. If any person is willing to donate they could come down to the locations of our lemonade stands. I will know later today where exactly our stands will be located. If you could post on the blog about us that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Zach Smith
Licensed Launch Operators Needed
Hi Joey, thanks for running the stories about the new launch, I think it will be a big boost to the downtown businesses and making it easier for boaters to get ashore.
Can you put on your site that I am also looking for licensed operators for the summer.
Thanks
Jim Caulkett
