My View of Life on the Dock
Thursby: The Rheum Lyin’ presents that zaftig zzzzer of the Blooz: Ms. Lisa Marie. Yoked to the piano centipede of Providence, Mr.Johnny Juxo, The three of us have consistantly raised our collective blood pressure beyond belief. I just got done playin’ with Johnny last weekend and I’m on the waiting list to see my veterinarian. Hope I get a shot before then! Help me! 830 to 1130.
Dave
Let’s shake and quake this week with Ms. Lisa Marie.Ya never know what’s gonna happen when she walks thru the door. Usually, when there’s enough medicine to go around, things are spectacular!
She’s draggin’ in Mr. Johnny Juxo, keybored millipede, with his piano and accordion (and vocals) as well as Mr. Jeff Giacomelli, bariform sexophonist (and vocals), to squeeze the wheeze and raise the stakes.

Are you ready? Do you suffer from 4 weal drive? Wheys and miens? Corrosive carbuncles? Well, we offer the perfect ointment for your troubles in the form of Ms. Lisa Marie. Yes, this Thursday Ms. LM descends through the clouds spraying sunshine on all those parts that you fear need toning. Gonna be a big dance party. She’ dragging in Mr. Johnny Juxo on the keys and those fabulous wombat-skinned pointy Italian Shoes to shake things up. A drummer of dubious origin, too? I’m not sure….
It’s also Dave Trooper’s Going away party! From 6 to 8 pm, come by and wish him and Catherine good luck as they deport themselves to Ecuador, where the living is easy, the fish are jumpin’ and the coca grows high. Bring your instruments and show him who’s boss! Seriously, I’m going to miss him terribly and wish both all the luck on their new adventure. Do come!

Dave says,
Well,I’ve signed up for elective surgery on my flabby elbow skin (hetero-weenisectomy) this Thursday and will be be busy recuperating with a Martini or three, so , in the meantime, why not stop holding your breath and inhale a little bit of Ms. Lisa Marie who will be charging in on her caparisoned horse, lance aboiling ,to skewer you with another night of electro-convulsive blues, and other music. And she’s bringing along the right people. She’s got Johnny Juxo to bang his shoe on the keyboard, “Silverfish” Steve on scratchy catarrh, and Dana “Bonefish” Bonardi on the bangulators. Sounds like a plan. Me, I’ll be showing up late in my black suit, in case you wanna see what I look like when I buy the farm! (minus the formaldehyde).

Dave says,
I’m throwing Ms. Lisa Marie to the wolves this week as I bow out to the travel gods and take my muddy boots to New Orleans. I need a vacation. I’m gonna search for loop garou in the fetid swamps. I’m gonna get bit on my mojo hand. And I’m gonna eat too much. I can’t wait!
So Ms. LM is bringing in the heavy artillery in the form of Mr. Johnnie Juxo, Tarzan of the keys, Mr. Silverfish Steve on DDT glitar and Mr. Chris “Anzio” Anzelone on clubs. It’ll be a blast! And, I’ll see you next week! Always have fun!

It’s gonna be another knuckle-draggin’ night so let’s welcome back one of your all-time favorite singers: Ms. Lisa Marie. She’s comin’ at you with her glass-breaking jewel-encrusted uvula. She rocks, she rolls, she twists, she monkeys to that grisly thump we all think of as our heart, and finds a way to touch us all. Pass the Jameson, please….
And she’s bringing an action- packed riddim section for that pedal to the metal feel. First, there’s Mr. Silvertone Steve, fleet-fingered guitarist and online carbon-dating service entrepreneur for you oldsters.Makes a mockery out of pre-existing conditions. Then there’s Mr. Johnny Juxo, pinky -waggler Xtroidinaire on shoe-bashing keyboards. Sings like an angel. Wears great hats, too. Top it off with with the air-compressor stylings of that hirsutely magnificent drummbler, Mr. Steevee Chaggaris and my unique style of basso offendo and there you have it; a great night! Ask your doctor if the DaveSag Blues Party is right for you.

Beware: Next week the world renown saxafrass terrorist, Mr. Gordon Beadle, will be returning for a night of carpet bombing. Don’t miss it!
And, again, if you want to see the best in improvisational Tin Pan Alley, The Old Salty Jazz Band underperforms Next Monday afternoon at the Rose Baker Senior Center right in downtown Gloucester from 1 to 3. Load up on prune juice and join us for a rollicking foray into the 20th century. It’s free!

Our medulla oblongation series continues this Thursday with the arrival of Ms. Lisa Marie, prepped and rarin’ to go. If I gotta tell who she is, you gotta sleep under a smaller rock. Without doubt, she’s the doyenne of all things musical, including her choice of material as well as vocal gurglings. She can sing in any key ,and unlock all the secrets. She’s invited along some groove postulates, too. First, there’s Scott Marshall, on gootar, a new guy for me, but the reviews have been excellent. Then there’s Johnny Juxo (don’t you love that name?), keyboard centipede and a regular jackhammer on the ivories. Love his style! Add a dollop of Dana Bonardi, on skins and the confused ramblings of Salmon Dave Sag, on base, and what do you have? A most memorable evening!
But wait! There’s more! I’ll be back that Saturday filling in on bass for that magical Queen of the local scene, Ms. Mari Martin. Always a great dance party. Not sure who’s showing up, but Mark Earley will be there with his honkaphonium. I can’t wait!
And, of course, for the Serutan® and Depends© crowd, I’ll be at the Rose Baker Senior Center on Monday. From 1 to 3 the Old Salty Jazz Band attempts to kick up its heels without needing physical therapy. If you’re free, you should see this before you have to go there by necessity.
And don’t forget, next Saturday is the 3rd Annual Globster Blooze Festival, in Stage Fort Park! A great lineup! I’ll see you there!

She’s back….! That boisterous belter of the blues: Ms. Lisa Marie. Just back from the cotton harvest in Mississippi, she’s ready to drop that eleven foot sack on your big toe. One of our faves, this gal has the wherewithal to get your intestines in a double clove hitch! Till you cry “ooh whee!”
She’ll be bringing along her posse of sympathetic players including “Silvertone” Steve or is it “Silverfish?” on guitar, Johnny Juxo, a new guy for me, on kleeboards, and Steevee “HaHa” Chaggaris, on defibrillators. I’ll be on base, in the corner, and hopefully, in the pocket. Do come! Our new hours are 8:30 to 11:30.
And like Dave Brown says:” We are nothing without you!” I mean it. Free Serutan® to the first 300 contented fans!
We offer natural pain relief this week as we welcome back that analgesic angel of the high stool: Ms. Lisa Marie. She’s been busy putting out fires all over New England, and now it’s our turn for her to take the pain out of your heart. She’ll be belting it out from 8:30 on,bringing tears to your eyes and a smile on your lips. Clothing optional.
She’s bringing along a couple of her favorite sidemen. First off, there’s Silvertone (or as I call him-Silverfish) Steve. Born that way, with a glitar in his mouth and Vitalis® on his fingers, Nobody knows his real name, although if you said it backwards, the entire bar would disappear..
Then there’s Johnny Juxo, on keys, whom I’ve never met, but my traiteur knows him well. I believe her! Had a good drummer on board, but he took a stray bullet at a jam session, so I’m waiting to hear back from my Ouija board So, roll out the barrel and have a good time. See you then.
Don’t forget: DaveSag’s blues Party has a Facebook page now, although I don’t snow why. So, hate me on Facebook: facebook.com/pages/Davesags-blues-party/1413082458915228
You’d pay to know what you really think!
And again, thank you for your continued support in this ruptured disc we call live music. We’re nothing without you! XXXX

Dave Sag’s Blues Party @ the Rhumb Line
Back by globular demand! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Lisa Marie! That’s right, folx, no tickee, no laundree, so get your butt down here Thursday and shake your booties to the booty bleat.
I don’t have to tell you about her smood singin’, her brash blaring, her total control of da megaphonium of de blooze. Plays a mean tambourine, too, or three. It’s gwine be a party to end all parties!
Backing her up will be long-time missing saxaphonier and general cooldude, Mr. Rick Razdan. We haven’t had the pleasure in a long time as he has been recovering from botched weenis cosmetic surgery. However, we now got the green light! Greg T. will be there, too as well as myself.
So, put down that knitting and grab your walker and c’mon down…if you still got the strength…

From Dave Sag –
Whew! A busy week ahead as I plow myself even deeper into the electrical field, so, here goes:
Thursday nite at the Rumline: We got ‘er again: Ms. Lisa Marie, The unobliviated Queen of da blooz, Hip-shakin’ her way thru yet another evening of frenzy. Backing her up will be our old friend and keyboard octopus, Mr. Cliff Spencer. Also, Forrest”Frosty” Padgett on the drumbulators as well as Greg T. on glitar. Me, myself and I complete this five piece septet. Another great nite!
Then,on Saturday nite, look out for miasmic gas attacks, as I hit the stage at Blat 43 to make a mess out of the Mike O’connell band. Joey Scrima’s drumbing, with Mike and Jat Appt trying to keep it cool. Fat chance.
And Sunday I’ll be at Glenn’s Cool Bar and Restaurant in Nbpt.
with Justin Quinn and his sweet and sore band. It’s a lot of fun playin’ with these clowns, among whom will be Jon Ross, Per Hanson and Curtis “Lemay” Haines, the Pope of Nbpt. Hours are 6 to9, food is great, so , bring a date and dine by the whites of her eyes!
Oops! cops bangin’ on my door…Gotta go! Seeya!
