Wow, we read a little bit of Nietzsche (in the German of course) in high school and college. Thanks for posting this on GMG. Keep in mind for future posts authors Kant and Mann, which my teacher made me read in high school in “Deutsch”. I then started having dreams in three languages in my senior year of high school: American English, High German (Hoch Deutsch). and Russian. But to say something positive, it’s great to read a novel in a language that you are not familiar with, and in the process don’t have to translate the German or Russian words in your mind. It just goes in there as English, and you understand it just like it’s your native language. Thanks for adding great variety to GMG!
