that was put there as a remembrance of the good old days when the ocean alliance research boat odyssey was tied up alongside and sam entertained us with all of his sea stories. miss you sam and hope to return to gloucester one day soon to see you and all the others there at the railway. all best, john

Let’s see, the Cap’s a hipster and it’s a new net but no hipster fisherman would be caught dead at sea with a net that doesn’t have that weatherbeaten look. I see some skinny jeans hanging off the end getting the same treatment.
