Best known by his pen name, Mark Twain, Clemens was a giant of American humor and letters. Often credited with writing the greatest of American novels The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The keenest wit of his age, he has a quote for almost any occasion.

Well, that certainly is an excellent point.
I love Mark twain. I remember my brother and I reading Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn together under the hemlock tree in our grandmother’s backyard. Loooooooooong time ago!

When asked about his attendance at the funeral of an acquaintance. Clemens once responded: “I won’t be attending the funeral, but I did write a letter of approval.” Classic.
