Cape Ann Skeptics Meet October 19th At Dog Bar

Cape Ann Skeptics is an informal group of people interested in looking at issues from a skeptical point of view. Skeptic thinking is rational, critical and scientific. A skeptic is not a cynic nor a contrarian. Rather, it’s someone who searches for the truth based on what is provable by rigorous science-based reasoning. At the meetings we start with a presentation followed by questions, sometimes answers, and always a lively discussion.
Skeptics in the Pub is an international phenomena with meetings occurring in most major and many smaller cities.

Skeptics in the Pub

The second meeting of Skeptics in the Pub will be October 19, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Dog Bar, 65 Main St. The meeting will kick off with time to meet, greet and order food, then Bob Bowles will give a talk entitled “Internet Lies and PCs” followed by Q and A’s and discussion. This gathering is  sponsored by Cape Ann Skeptics and is the second of the regularly scheduled meetings to be held every 3rd Tuesday of the month. All skeptics or those interested in skepticism are invited. For more information or to join our mailing list, visit www.capeannskeptics.com or email rich@capeannskeptics.com.
