listen), literally “double-goer”) is a look-alike or double of a living person, sometimes portrayed as a paranormal phenomenon, and in some traditions as a harbinger of bad luck. In other traditions and stories, they recognize your ‘double-goer’ as an evil twin.
The word doppelgänger is often used in a more general sense to describe any person who physically or behaviorally resembles another person.

If the dog is a female, and you want to commemorate Van Gogh, call her Johanna. Van Gogh was never successful in his lifetime, but his brother Theo was his ceaseless advocate. Unfortunately, Vincent Van Gogh died young, and his brother Theo died just 6 months later. But Theo’s widow Johanna preserved all of Vincent’s paintings and eventually established his legacy. It’s because of Johanna that we revere Van Gogh.
