Reminder
City of Gloucester Dog License renewals are due by April 30th each year. The cost is $15.00 per license for spayed or neutered dogs & $16.00 per license for dogs that are not spayed or neutered. If you do not renew by April 30th, there will be a $10.00 late fee.
Before any dog license is issued, the rabies information must be current. If you are not sure, please contact your vet. Once you have the current information, you can obtain your license in two ways:

                       – Come to the City Clerks office
                       – Mail in a Dog License Application

If mailing in a renewal form, include an additional $2.50 for postage & handling to send you your dog tag and license.
Town of Rockport License renewals are due by May 31st. The cost is $10 per license for spayed or neutered dogs & $16 for dogs that are not spayed/neutered [a $5 late fee will be assessed after this date].
Dogs using the dog park must be licensed and tags must be displayed.

Saturday, May 2nd:  Park Clean Up – 9am!
This winter has been hard on the Park so please join us for a general clean-up day. Some of the tasks we’re planning on: raking, spreading mulch, and trimming bushes. We can use all the help we can get! Volunteers, please bring rakes and gloves.
Saturday, May 16th:  GDP’s 2nd Anniversary Summer Kick-Off Party 10am-noon
Doggy Nail Clipping, Doggy Photos, Doggy Massage, and much more with a donation to the Park [additional details to follow]

The Art Spirit  |  May 4, 11, 18 & June 1  |  Mondays 10-1pm

This class is an atelier experience for the serious student of painting. It offers rigorous instruction in seeing, drawing and painting. We’ll address the correct sequence to working with light and shadow, refining form and shape, and interpreting and understanding color. By mastering the skills of alla prima painting, students progress to create art with depth of purpose and richness in meaning. This class is for students with a working knowledge of the medium and advanced students seeking to improve their skills.

Painting from Photos  |  May 8 – 29 Fridays 10-1pm

In this class, we’ll use photos as an inspiration and raw material to compose stronger, better paintings. A photo reference is a convenient aid to artists, but they can also be a hindrance to developing drawing and painting skills. Source photos provide tremendous visual information; we will look at how to weed out what’s necessary from what’s not, and discuss the benefits of photography as a compositional tool. $145M $190NM 4 classes

Walking weak, big weight loss wrinkles instead of muscles. But from what I read, it’s time to work out daily to build the muscles–they’re still 90% there. I’ll check with my PT at AGH for us.
