I was in Italy last November and the Selfie Sticks were being hawked (and used) everywhere.

if you are on a vacation and don’t want to ask the nearest stranger to take your picture like we used to do before selfie sticks were around, that it is OK. but if it is a vanity thing, and you are taking countless pics of yourself to post on facebook, that is another story.
