Harvested my Kale for Sopa de Couves

IMG_3494 (2)I harvested my Kale (Couyes) wash,. shred  and bagged for freezing.

Looking forward to making a Hearty Portuguese Sopa de Couves that will last me through the cold days of the  New England winter. The recipe varies from year to year.

  1. Manny, could you please tell us what condition the kale needs to be in when its ready for the freezer? (wet, half-dried, dry, etc.) I do not have good luck when it comes to freezing veggies (so I can instead)…? Thanks!

    1. Partially Dry, I placed them on a towel; and placed another towel on top and patted them down… they freeze well; I also like to unfreeze and fry them up with spices and eat it them… FYI I am not a good; so my Girlfriend usually guides my cooking; I pou the wine.
