FREE ARTIST DEMONSTRATIONS AT NORTH SHORE ARTS ASSOCIATION

The following free artist demonstrations will be held at NSAA during the month of June:  Caleb Stone-Watercolor, Sunday, June 17, 2pm; Carole Berren-Yupo Watercolor, Saturday, June 23, 11am; and, Lynda Goldberg-Monotype Printmaking, Sunday, June 24, 2pm.

NSAA’s historic old building, located at 11 Pirates Lane in East Gloucester, provides the opportunity to view one of the largest collections of paintings and sculpture on Cape Ann. 
North Shore Arts Association is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays from Noon to 5:00 pm. In addition to exhibitions, NSAA also offers adult, teen and children’s workshops, lectures, a live art auction and more. Wanted to let you know that I am having a one-woman art exhibit at the
Unitarian Universalist Church at 4 Cleaves St. in Rockport for the
month of June. There will be a reception on Saturday, June 9th from 10
am – 12 noon.
My bio :

MeHardMerchandiseAEileen Patten Oliver has been painting in oils and acrylics in both Maine and Massachusetts for 40+ years. She was the Art Chairperson and managed the art gallery at the West Quoddy Head Light visitor’s Center in Lubec, ME for several seasons in the early 2000’s, taught Adult Education Painting at the Lubec Consolidated School, and has had several one woman shows around New England.  She studied with Paul Shea, Peter Nyren and Constantine Sgouras & was chosen to take a class at Mass College of Art while still in high school, but is predominantly self-taught.  Her paintings hang in many private homes.

A member of the Rocky Neck Artist Colony and Newburyport Art Association, Eileen is originally from Waltham, MA and lived in Lubec and Randolph, Maine from 1998-2010. She currently lives and paints in Rockport, MA with her husband, James Oliver, a Rockport native, who is also an accomplished painter, illustrator and print maker (etching).

The photo I’ve attached is me with my painting of the "Hard Merchandise" at the Best of Rocky Neck show that just ended at the Rocky Neck Art Colony gallery. I’m also going to be hanging work at Khan studio and Good Morning Gloucester Gallery on Rocky Neck in July.
