Joey, the attached pix is a clip from my one hour documentary "Serengeti Mara – a Memoir" which will be screened at CACC on Monday, May 7th. at 7PM. It is a "memoir", spoken by a young anthropology student, Lisa Lindblad (my former wife) of her year in Serengeti Mara among the Maasai people and the wild herds back in the mid ’70’s. The film also deals with the current controversy over the Tanzanian Government’s plan to build a truck highway through the Serengeti Mara, effectively destroying the UNESCO World Heritage eco-system and the greatest migration of wild mammals on earth. The film is a touchingly intimate portrait of Lisa getting to know the Maasai people whose villages surround her camp and who are eventually evicted to make room for tourists. My Maasai translator for the film (Isaya Lukumay) and I will be on hand for the screening. I wonder if you would be good enough to post this blurb, along with the attached photograph of a Maasai warrior running in Serengeti Mara. I suppose it would be best to post it some time next week. I’m writing with information about the final Cape Ann Forum of the season.
On Sunday, May 13 international relations expert Stephen Walt will give a talk on the "The Twilight of the American Era", in which he will discuss the changing influence of the United States and the impact on foreign and defense policy. Walt is the Robert and Renee Belfer Professor of International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. The event will be at 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Gloucester, on the corner of Middle and Church Streets. As always, the Forum is free and open to the public. The press release and a photo of Dr. Walt are attached below.
This Forum is also important because it will feature the announcement of the seventh annual Cape Ann Forum international awareness award for a Gloucester High School senior who has done outstanding work in educating her peers on global issues.

Well known Catholic lay apostle, Frank Kelly, who has helped thousands of people through his healing ministry, will be at Holy Family Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Monday May 7th at 7pm. A healing mass and individual moments of prayer with Frank will be held afterwards.
Having sustained a fatal, full body electrocution, Frank surprised his doctors who were preparing his death certificate, by sitting up on the guerny. During his convalescence Frank was visited and comforted
by Padre Pio.
Since this moment 20 years ago, Frank has prayed unceasingly. Through his gifts of discernment and healing, many have been forever touched by God, through this simple, humble man, whom God uses as a vessel to heal mind, body and soul. Frank prays individually with each person that comes to see him.
Frank is under the magisterium of the Catholic Church with letters from Cardinal O’Malley,
Frank’s spiritual director is Fr. Ron Tacelli of Boston College.
