Fr. Matthew,
I wish you a very blessed feast of Our Lord’s Resurrection. God bless you and have a very Happy Easter.
Jim R.
In the hopes of a day filled with God’s caress
Of a sky covered in variations of blue
With tiny clouds of white gently puffed
These visions of my soul to come true
The echoes of church bells filling the air
Ladies and little girls dressed Like Vanity Fair
Listening to the words of God within
Children after church running about at play
Searching for the brightly colored eggs
Loved ones gathered in reflections of the day
That Jesus arose from the dead
How fitting it is we celebrate with our youth
In combination of hopes and dreams
Was it not Jesus who said “Let the children draw near”
This is to me what a celebration of Easter means
Sharing together with our children this day
In a time that gives the real meaning of life
The words of the Bible that guides our way
That he who has risen is the truth and the light
