Thatcher, likewise, holds a Massachusetts Boating Safety Certificate and USCG Auxilliary Boat America Course Certificate…..as well as his STCW from the Maritime Professional Training Center in Fort Lauderdale. He has been working on boats since he was 14 and is home for a short stint in between 1st Mate jobs on Westport Yachts. He is sitting for his 100-ton license in May.
