4:45AM and I pull in to a local convenience store to get a little sustenance before the work day begins.
There are a total of three people in the convenience store- a guy out in the back corner of the place glued to the keno screen, the clerk that works there and me.
So I find this peanut energy bar in the middle of the store about 7 paces away from the counter. That’s all I needed, just a little something to take the hunger edge off before work started a single energy bar.
I begin to walk toward the counter to pay for my one item, the energy bar and KENO GUY is about 15 paces away. He literally sprints to get to the counter before me and then proceeds to rattle off $150 worth of different lottery bets taking about 5 minutes to get them all in.
Really?????
Courtesy is not at the top of this degenerates list. My 99 cent single item purchase was obviously not nearly as important as him getting his degenerate gambling tickets.

Two times in the last week over here in East Gloucester! I have had enough of it, no more inconvenient “convenience stores” for me.

My usual pet-peeve in an Inconvenience Store goes something like that. I just want my coffee and my sunshine sandwich but the guy in front of me has won ten bucks on a scratch ticket he just bought and of course instead of taking the nine dollar in winnings home he requests ten more scratch tickets.
Then proceeds to scratch them all off staying in line in case he wins again! I have a natural prejudice against these type of people. You know the ones. They never took STAT 101. Or they napped through all of their math classes in high school. I know I should not feel that way since they keep my taxes low but if they could just step aside to scratch …
