Joey–Love the blog! I check it EVERY day. We have roots in Gloucester and try to visit often–just got back from a great Gloucester weekend. One of the way I use Good Morning Gloucester is to surprise and stun my Gloucester relatives with my “inside” knowledge……thanks to you. Just wanted to share a little story I thought might interest you. We live in Central New York State in the Southern Tier. In this region, there’s a well known “must do” fish fry restaurant called Doug’s Fish Fry based in Cortland NY. We finally got to go to Doug’s recently. It’s a no frills/good eats kind of place you would probably appreciate.
I’m attaching the sign on their wall letting customers know how fresh the fish is and where it comes from 5 days a week. I noticed the spelling problem right away but no one else I show this to notices (and they should!).
Take care and thanks for your efforts to make the blog so enjoyable every single day. Pat Dalpiaz (descended from one of the Gloucester Ryan families)

Maybe it comes from England — isn’t that how they (mis)spell it?
