Richard Allen wrote a piece for 'South coast today' citing how there are only so many fish in the ocean to support local fleets.  He writes about the need to shed excess boats, despite the fleet maintaining a healthy balance while fish stocks have improved over the last six years.  Any downsizing of said fleets with the new sector regime, according to Allen,  is a natural correction based on what local economies can sustain.  Again, anyone with n … Read More
