Here’s a teaser for our last summer concert:
“On Sunday, 7:00pm ~ August 29, the Rockport Legion Band will present the final concert of the 2010 summer season. Jason Howard and Steve Thomas will co-conduct the program which will include marches by Panella, Sousa, Hall, Maquet, Meacham, plus a march written for the band by a former member of the band; a salute to the American Armed Forces, a Broadway medley, and Tchaikovsky’s “1812 )\Overture”, which will feature live rifle fire provided by the American Legion Post 98 Honor Guard.
As usual, refreshments will be available and parking is free, but listeners will need to provide their own seating. Copies of the band’s CD will also be available. Further information may be posted on the band’s web page at: http://rockportlegionband.wordpress.com “
