Paul Scola writes-
Gloucester entered an 8 year old team in the first annual Stan Brown Memorial Jamboree which ran from July 30th to August 15th. This was the first time that an 8 year old team was assembled to compete at tournament level play. The Gloucester "Crazy 8’s" made it all the way to the championship game losing to Byfield/Newbury in a very close 4-3 game.

Good Morning Gloucester 
I am so proud of the Crazy 8’s. These young boys learned to pitch, catch, steal, and slide within 3 weeks to prepare for this tournament. The other teams they competed against were a lot more experienced in this tournament. And yet the Crazy 8’s made it all the way to the championship game. They proudly won second place. My son Daylon Lark was the catcher and I am so proud of him.
