High tide on Sunday was close but no cigar for Motif#1. Still had at least a foot of freeboard left.

It was a tad blustery:

But this gmg reporter did not get his butt off the heated car seat to shoot these. There are limits.

CIBBOWS (coney island brighton beach open water swimmers) gather to wish Joey & Gloucester a warm, cozy good morning! Rachel, Patty & Cristian are about to swim around Cape Horn in a few weeks! Rachel & Cristian swam the icy Strait of Magellan last year. THATs cold-water swimming!!! (sorry, trembling: just got out of the water.)

 The water was pretty high during the Blue moon.  You know when it comes up and covers the marsh that it’s a abnormally high tide.
