There are two huge green things that look like silos on the State Fish Pier. I have no idea what they are for. Anyone care to venture a guess?

I wonder how this guy met his maker? He wasn’t run over or his guts would be jutting out of his sides. He didn’t get stuck in a vat of slime eels because he is clearly dry. I wonder what did him in.

Tom is another great character on the Gloucester waterfront. You could listen to his crazy stories for hours and hours and die laughing. There are a few guys like this still around. Guys like Manny and Tom Porter, Busty Brancleone, Tom Ring, Carlo Moceri- the guys that should have book deals because they were real hard working fishermen and not posers that drove around in trucks all day avoiding work like the plague.

Tom used to fish with Linda Greenlaw. You can check out her website by clicking this text. He tells me that she is in the process of doing a show about swordfishing but the first trip they went out they ended up having to return to port broke down.
