Got a few more pics of the lobster that molted in our tank. I sent them to the Maine Lobster Institute and they will be using them in their educational material.

why r the claws held together by rubberbands? It looks wrong.

It’s for a couple different reasons. For one so they don’t kill and eat each other, but also so they don’t grab the human that is handling them. A crate full of unbanded lobsters would have a way higher mortality rate than a crate of banded ones.
