Pretty Good Harbor on Saturday.

My View of Life on the Dock
Pretty Good Harbor on Saturday.

A Mother’s Love is a Haven
A mother’s love is like an island
In life’s ocean, vast and wide,
A peaceful, quiet shelter
From the wind, the rain, the tide.
‘Tis bound on the north by Hope,
By Patience on the West,
By tender Counsel on the South
And on the East by Rest.
Above it like a beacon light
Shine Faith, and Truth, and Prayer;
And thro’ the changing scenes of life
I find a haven there.

Boston.com announces that Crane Beach is one of 5 Massachusetts properties that plan to reopen in limited ways on May 19! Here’s the link to the full article. Other properties opening include deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Naumkeag in Stockbridge, and World’s End in Hingham; but Crane Beach is my love! It’s like they heard my whispered prayer.
Looking forward to scenes such as these soon:

My friend Brenda suggested this might make a good Mother’s Day card, so I decided to make it so! Happy Mother’s Day to all. It seems a mother’s work is never done even for cardinals.

Where would we be without our Ma?
Simple answer- Nowhere. It’s all impossible without her.
So selfless, so giving, always there. We got pretty damn lucky to have our “Ma” be our Ma.

MA THE MEATLOAF!
Egrets apparently indicate that a prosperous time is near or has arrived. I know I always feel very lucky to come upon them. I am jealous of how graceful they usually look….except maybe when they are windblown like this day. Now I don’t feel so bad if my overdue-for-a-haircut hair gets blown around in the wind!
Try to get to beach everyday to sit and read. This week had to wear a parka and hat, and of course social distancing love to sit at the beach and read and relax.

Another way to help our local restaurants during these trying times. Also Sherry’s Corner Cafe is giving a gift back to their customers. If you buy a $25.00 gift card, Sherry’s gives you a $30.,00 card. It works out to 20% more than what you actually buy. Thank you Sherry’s Corner Cafe.
