Hi Joe,
It’s been a long time but I do read your blog all the time so feel like I know what is going on with you. I’ve been dealing with some annoying and chronic tendinitis in both hands which has slowed down my writing but something good happened so I thought you might like to use it—my books have received 3 nominations for the 2013 eFestival of Words. If you decide to use it something like this would work:
The 2013 eFestival of Words, an annual celebration of the best in independent publishing, has given three nominations to local author Kathleen Valentine’s books. Depraved Heart: A Novel, which is set on a fictional island off the coast of Cape Ann but which has scenes set in Rocky Neck and during Fiesta, has been nominated for Best Mystery / Suspense Novel. It has also been nominated for The Harvey Award for the Book We’d Most Like to See Made Into a Movie.
Also, her short story, The Whiskey Bottle in the Wall, from the collection The Whiskey Bottle in the Wall: Secrets of Marienstadt, has been nominated for Best Short Story. All the stories in this collection are based on tales she heard growing up in her native central Pennsylvania.
Results will be published on the eFestival of Words Web Site in August. You can read her guest blog post for the Festival here.
Kathleen’s latest book is Volume 3 in her Beacon Hill Chronicles series, The Crazy Old Lady Unleashed.
