That is the machine that sits outside at the entrance to the parking lot of the Marine Railways on Rocky Neck. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but it looks like an old shop press for bending sheet metal.

You got it Bill, that is exactly what and where it is (although exactly what it is I am not sure either, but assume it is some sort of press).

I took some shots of it just thew other day, so I recognized the little cog in the upper left corner of the photo and the the screw drive height adjuster. Nice Shot BTW – interesting composition.

I was glad when they moved it from its prior location, tucked against the building and overgrown with weeds, to out in the open where you can see it from all angles. And it makes a very interesting and appropriate sign holder.
