Rose Fish? I remember reading a marketing advisory in the late 1960’s, Cold War era, where the topic was to transfer the name “Red Fish” to “Rose Fish”. Ocean Perch was what went on the labels. Millions and millions annually of 1 lb consumer pack labels, frozen at the Gloucester Ice & Cold Storage for national buyers like the “Tea Company” ( The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company aka: “A & P”), Piggly Wiggly, Rich-SeaPak and the US Gov’t.
