Death Row Meal

With the overwhelming popularity of The Death Row Sub Post we roll out the Death Row Meal Post.

Same concept-

For this post to be successful you would leave a comment on it explaining what your choice would be.

If you were on Death Row on Cape Ann.  Going to be executed that night and the executioner gives you an option for one meal from any restaurant in town which meal would it be and from which joint?

Place your answer in the comment section below this post.

So many great options to choose from but I’m thinking it would have to be The Lobster Risotto at Duckworth’s Bistrot.

  1. It would have to be the seafood plate at “The Causeway” I live in Oregon and that’s the first place we hit when in Gloucester, sometimes right from the airport.

  2. Something with bacon from latitude43 and carrot cake from Stone’s Pub and a night of music and dancing to a Gloucester grown band at the Rhumb Line! Then–sayonara!

  3. I appreciate the magic that Ken & Nicole create in East Gloucester Square, that said, getting the Scallops w/Jasmine rice, pickled ginger and sauteed veggies at Passports that is available lunch or dinner for $20 makes my day special, any day…a true celebration of seafood with an international twist. If this is Death Row, you can send me anytime…WooHoo!!!

  4. I would order whatever the special soup is at Duckworth’s Bistrot, followed by the Ubiquitous Bistrot Salad. Then, I’d have the half order of Pasta Bolognese, and before I knew I’d be too full to eat, , I would also order a half of Ken’s seafood stew and for dessert, of course the banana cake. Oh, and after a Samuel Adams Boston Lager to start, I would follow up with a bottle (preferably shared) of Rombauer Chardonnay. because if Im going out, I would to go out in a ChardonnHaze.

  6. Mine would include Ken’s lobster risotto with Swiss chard, and ALSO, his portabella mushroom and polenta appetizer, and also his mushroom soup, all with champagne. I never eat chocolate cake at night because it keeps me awake all night, but if this was really the end, I would have Nicole’s chocolate layer cake.

  7. Crispy Calamari to start followed by the Slow Roasted Duck Confit with White Bean Truffle Ravioli, and a Butterscotch Brownie Sundae for dessert at the Seaglass Restauraunt in the Castle Manor Inn! Trust me! It is out of this world!!!

  10. Since I wouldn’t have to worry about calories, cholesterol or any of that, unless I got a stay of execution, I’d go for a Peter’s Platter with extra tartar sauce and a cup of fish chowder from the Causeway – and I’d eat it all so they’d have to roll me into the execution chamber.

  11. If it was during ‘the season,’ my husband would go for the Portuguese Haddock at Lobsta Land. For myself, I simply can’t choose one meal. Cape Ann has so many incredible options!
