The following is one of my original Christmas poems. I hope you enjoy. I am in the hopes of writing new ones for The Kent Circle Tree Lighting, The Gorton;s Cancer Center Lighting , The Lobster Pot Lighting , and The Bank Gloucester Hospice Tree Lighting. I do not get many comments , but I hope the readers like them. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. I’ll never take Christ out of Christmas.
Gloucester Christmas Greeting

The Fishing boats tied to their docks
With their crews resting from the sea
Children placing their Christmas socks
Upon the Family Christmas tree
Churches and Chapels crystal and clean
Waiting upon the arrival of each guest
Sunday School teachers rehearsing each scene
Of a Christmas play slated to be this years best
Peace on Earth for the return of all women and men
Who were chosen to protect the lives of all
It is through the meaning of Christmas we send
A prayer of peace as our City and Nations call
Silent Night most Holy Night
May the blessings of this Christmas be
Future days of happiness and delight
For this is the gift of God for all mankind to see and beleive
