We are not giving away free flat screen TVs, but we will have tons of good cheer, family fun and great discounts- some stores will have door prizes, drawings and door-buster deals, so don’t miss this opportunity to support your local businesses and find some great buys!

WOMEN’S COMMUNITY CLUB of MAGNOLIA HOLIDAY FAIR

A HOLIDAY FAIR sponsored by the Women’s Community Club of Magnolia will be held on Saturday, November, 10th from 9:00 – 2p.m. in Jones Hall at the Magnolia Library Center, corner of Lexington and Norman Ave., Magnolia.

There will be a variety of handmade crafts, holiday gifts, jewelry and bake table.  Also there will be a variety of children’s activities and PICTURES WILL BE TAKEN WITH SANTA!  A silent auction will feature gift certificates from local businesses and restaurants along with gift baskets and a money raffle.

Mulled cider, coffee, punch, muffins and donuts will be served throughout the day.  Lunch, featuring homemade Haddock chowder, quiche, hot dogs,  and tuna rolls will be served from 11:30a.m.

This is the Women’s Club ‘s major fund-raiser of the year and all the proceeds are returned to the community to support organizations and projects that benefit the community as a whole.  PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT THIS COMMUNITY EVENT!

On the next Cape Ann Profiles show host Rich Sagall interviews Julie LaFontaine, the executive director of Open Door. They discuss the history of this vital non-profit, the services they provide Cape Ann residents, and what Second Glance offers the community.

Rich Sagall is a physician and the president of NeedyMeds, a national non-profit that provides information on programs that help people unable to afford their health care costs. He also publishes Pediatrics for Parents, a children’s health newsletter.
