If you look at Homie’s leg he has a piece of strapping tied to it. I’ve seen this homie around for the past couple weeks. I wonder who tied it on there and I also wonder if he will spend his final days with that piece of strapping wrapped around his leg.

Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to see gulls tangled up in monofilament, six pack plastic rings and other plastic refuse. That is part of the life of a scavenger.

all summer we watched a gull with a fish hook and short piece of line stuck through his beak…he seemed to get along fine and had no trouble stealing food….
