Tamie Rodolosi has some nice things to say after hearing our glowing review of 525 on today’s GloucesterCast

Hi Joey
I just wanted to personally thank you! It has been a very difficult time for my husband Larry & I! We have had to cut so many costs so I do the social media & marketing. I feel like I have no idea how to do it so your compliment meant a lot! I also do all the cleaning and missed the live podcast this am because I was at 525 cleaning the bathrooms which I do throughout the night while open as well, so mentioning how clean they were also meant a lot to me. Larry works full time on top of the restaurant so it means a lot to him to hear such good feedback since he works an average of 100-110 hrs a week! Two of our kids who are in college have been helping in the kitchen because we can’t find staff! Vanessa made the pizza and nachos so she was so happy to hear you liked them as well! From the bottom of my heart I think you!!!! Please thank the others for me! Just when I felt like giving up you helped me feel positive again!!

Free Streaming Nia and Restorative Yoga Classes via Zoom with Linda for the Week of Jan. 25th New Nia Routine-Disney Songs Rest. Yoga Mon & Wed 5 PM

Cape Ann Wellness

Hot off the press, Disney Songs! I had a lot of fun finding new versions of most of these well known tunes. A few are the originals but most are new takes. I wanted to focus the routine on the hands and feet as these are the parts of the body we take the most for granted, until they are painful.

So join us and we’ll have fun singing and dancing to Disney Songs. Here’s a sneak preview of one of my favorite finds, an a cappella version of“I Wanna Be Like You”from the Jungle Book sung by DCappella.

For Restorative Yoga, find some cushions, large books, yoga blocks, blankets, whatever you can use instead of bolsters and blocks. We make it work. For more information on Restorative yoga, check out my site, niawithlinda.com. It is a lovely passive practice that gives the participant relaxation and calm. Who…

Tamie and Larry At 525 In Magnolia Are Doing Everything Right

It’s worth the ride and everyone at our table agreed! 525 is Legit!

Food- great

Service-great

Decor-great.

It’s a choice that we don’t think of often because it’s on the other side of the island from the East Gloucester shire but thankfully the marketing person has been doing a fantastic job on social media because the pictures of the food and inventive dishes they are creating more than caught our attention.

Perfectly cooked steak tips may be the best in town.
Nachos piled high with love
Great crust, great pizza!

Antique Table Manchester Worth a Visit

We had dinner at the Antique Table on Central Street in Manchester a couple of nights ago for our Friday night “date”. We hadn’t been back in a while and we had a gift card waiting to be used, so off we went. The online reservation system is easy to use and you can access it here at the restaurant’s website.

The manager Oscar greeted us warmly to make sure we were happy with our seating next to the fireplace. Our server Victor was friendly and thorough. My lemon drop martini was served in a chilled glass, making it extra refreshing. Jim ordered prosciutto roll ups and I had chicken vegetable soup (tomato based with lots of vegetables and big chunks of chicken). Our entrees included chicken florentine and shrimp scampi. Jim had lemon cake for dessert and I finished with a Mexican coffee. It was a lovely evening, not rushed yet efficient. We were safely distanced with plastic barriers helping. I understand they are also open for lunch but we haven’t tried that yet. We will be happy to return sometime soon!

Past Week Potpourri — pat morss

A few happenings during the last week:

Photographing waves from the Audubon rocks
Surf around Brace Rock
US Coast Guard exercises
And on another day
Coming by for evening nibbles
Bottoms up on Niles Pond
Mallard wearing a wedding band
We lost baseball “Great” Hank Aaron, but our Hank Heron is just fine
Presidential Inauguration Day
Ice reforming on a choppy Niles Pond today
Under the watchful eye of a fluffed-up crow
And, of course, another sunset
