A couple of evenings ago, while taking in Christmas lights, a turkey flew off our roof and went careening into the tree brances across the driveway. Last evening we saw at least 4 (probably from our family of ten) roosting in the trees. But first, a New Year’s hello from several of our friends on Niles Pond.
Every Monday Little Red Rooster will feature The TAJ Sandwich – filled with Indian inspired flavors – and we’ll also be adding our own spicy spin to a new Little Red Rooster’s classic: the Garbage Plate.

My washer and dryer arrived right on time on Saturday as we were promised when we bought them at Doyon’s, 15 Whistlestop Way, Gloucester, MA 01930. It was very reassuring to have Doyon employees install our washer and dryer as well. The employees practiced safe protocol, wearing masks and keeping their distance.

Ummm….yum! I met a friend at Mile Marker One yesterday for a late breakfast. My meal was phenomenal and if you haven’t seen how great the inside of Mile Marker and the Cape Ann’s Marina Resort looks you should take a trip over for a visit and a meal.
The setting sunlight was so pretty on the lighthouse and Paint Factory recently. I was so busy setting up for the moonrise that I almost missed it.
Start out with store bought mashed potatoes.
Transfer the container of mashed potatoes to a tin container, cut up a half a stick of butter and insert the pads of butter evenly.
Scoop out a couple of tablespoons of minced garlic and spread evenly on top.
Set up the smoker for indirect grilling, pit temp between 300-350, add wood for smoke.
When the top just starts to brown up a little whip it up a little to distribute the butter and garlic and then cover it and let it go for another 10 minutes.
I cooked it along side my wife’s chicken pot pie leftovers from the day before.
Chicken pot pie on a smoker brings it to the next level.
As owner of Angel Wings CBD and Gift Boutique, I was very concerned when I heard that I had to shut down my shop til further notice, especially since I had not yet been open a year! The pandemic shut -down inspired me to re ignite my creativity and experiment with ice dying. I became fascinated by how the different color dyes melt into each other and form the koolest color combinations, color splits and fantastic patterns. I then decided to re invent my store and bring in my own hand dyed creations. Come on by and check them out! 12 Rogers Street, right next to the ST. Peters Club! They are all high quality 100% cotton, each one is a unique piece of art that you can wear! Mention GMG and receive 10% off the month of January!
